Guided by the principals of balanced, soothing and harmonious environments, she takes great pleasure in sharing her appreciation of design with her clients. Jennifer has utilized her design talent in a wide range of projects across North America. Prior to co-founding Interiors for Modern Living, Jennifer began her professional career with a high-end design firm in Minneapolis, Minnesota. After working long distance on projects in California, she decided to relocate permanently to the San Francisco Bay Area in 2004.

As President in charge of daily operations, Michael Palen, a licensed General Contractor and Master Carpenter with a degree in Architecture, draws on his 3 decades of experience in the construction industry. He brings his expertise and passion for perfection to each project. Michael has been recognized in his field for providing innovative solutions to difficult design situations and he is accomplished in every aspect of building including design, construction planning, new construction, remodeling, finish carpentry and project management. His goal is to deliver projects on time, on schedule and within budget.
